Gateway 3 - Completion Certificates

In the UK context of the Building Safety Act, Gateway Three signifies a critical milestone in the regulatory process for higher-risk buildings nearing completion of construction or major refurbishment.

At Gateway Three, developers or building owners must demonstrate to the Building Safety Regulator that the completed building meets stringent safety standards and regulatory requirements through comprehensive documentation and evidence.

It is important to note that the Building Safety Regulator wants to know that the building was built as per the design. Approval at Gateway Three enables the building to be occupied, affirming that appropriate measures have been taken to prioritise building safety throughout its development.
