ECA members named top apprentice employers
The country’s most outstanding apprenticeship employers for 2022 have been recognised for their vital work boosting career opportunities for more people. The list includes four ECA Members.
ECA Member firms Clarkson Evans and NG Bailey were listed in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list. Darke and Taylor and Derry Building Services made the top 20 of the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers list.
ECA Director of Workforce and Public Affairs Andrew Eldred said:
"These ECA Members’ appearance in both the overall top 100 and the top 20 of SMEs is welcome confirmation of electrical contracting employers’ ongoing commitment to training the next generation of skilled electricians.
"This year has seen record levels of electrical apprentice recruitment across the whole UK, but we are still falling some way short of the numbers we require. More companies need to follow the inspiring example set by Darke and Taylor, Derry Building Services, Clarkson Evans and NG Bailey.”
Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi said:
"It is a fantastic achievement to be listed as one of the country’s most outstanding apprenticeship employers.
"Apprenticeships offer people of all ages and backgrounds the chance to gain the experience and skills needed to hit the ground running in their chosen career, while delivering the skilled workforce businesses need to grow and thrive."
The Government website reads.
