PAS 55-1:2008, Asset Management: Part 1: Specification for the optimized management of physical assets, written by the Institute of Asset Management, and published by BSi in September 2008, defines a record as a: ‘document stating results achieved or providing evidence of activities performed NOTE 1 Records can be used, for example, to provide evidence of calibration, audit, incident investigation, results of stakeholder consultation, preventive action or corrective action. NOTE 2 Generally records need not be under revision control.’
