Requisition
The UN Procurement Practitioner's Handbook, produced by the Interagency Procurement Working Group (IAPWG) in 2006 and updated in 2012 defines requisition as: ‘A written or computerized request from an internal user/customer for the fulfillment or procurement of goods, services or works.’
A requisitioner is: ‘The person or personnel initiating a purchase requisition, i.e. a request for goods, works or services.’
The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Glossary of procurement terms, defines a requisition as a: ‘Paper or electronic document stating a need for procurement to supply a product or service.’
