Algorithm
The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Glossary of procurement terms, defines an algorithm as: ‘The process or rule used by an IT system to perform calculations, data processing or automated tasks.’
The 'CIOB Artificial Intelligence (AI) Playbook 2024' Published by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) defines algorithm as 'A set of instructions used to perform tasks (such as calculations and data analysis) usually using a computer or another smart device.'
