Integrated control system
The Illustrated Guide to Mechanical Building Services, Third Edition (BG 31/2017), by David Bleicher, published by BSRIA in 2017, suggests that: ‘An integrated control system is one in which building control systems are combined to allow the display of information at a common operator interface. Such systems can typically integrate BMS, lighting, fire and access control/security systems.’
Guide to Controls (BG 83/2023) written by John Marrow and published by BSRIA in June 2023, defines an integrated control system as: ‘A control system which performs functions typically performed by multiple independent systems such as BMS, lighting control and security.’
