Eliminate, Reduce, Inform and Control
“Eliminate, reduce, inform, and control" (ERIC) is a risk management principle commonly applied in the UK construction industry, as well as in other sectors, to address health and safety hazards and mitigate risks effectively. Each component of ERIC represents a step in the risk management process. By following the ERIC principle, construction industry stakeholders can systematically identify, assess, and manage risks to protect the health, safety, and well-being of workers and others affected by construction activities.
