Dame Judith Hackitt
Dame Judith Hackitt is perhaps best known for her role as Chair of the Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety, which was commissioned by the UK government following the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy in June 2017. The review, commonly referred to as the "Hackitt Review," aimed to examine the regulatory system for high-rise residential buildings in England and make recommendations for improving building safety standards.
