Connection cost
Approved document S, Infrastructure for the charging of electric vehicles, published in 2021 by HM Government, defines the connection cost as: ‘The cost of upgrades needed to the electricity system in order to accommodate a charge point, excluding the cost of any building work or the cost of the charge point itself.’
It goes on to state: ‘For the purposes of this approved document, the connection cost should exclude VAT.’
