Twas the site before Christmas...

'Twas the site before Christmas, and all through that night,
No hazard was stirring, all standards were tight.
Designs integrated with precision and care,
Historical building retrofits, nearby to compare.

A recognisable stranger and questions of AI,
Information like snowflakes float across the sky.
A Designing Buildings hoarding but knowledge imparted,
Updates and announcements for when the new year has started.

For now festive greetings from our site called the wiki,
To our supporters that help us share knowledge for free.
Contributing to the site with new articles each day,
For industry and by it, so just a thank you we say.

An industry in flux needs to share what it can,
Given access to changes so it can develop and plan.
As competent principals in construction or design,
Continue building resilience to keep the industry fine.

As emissions reductions must reduce by three fold,
Measuring more materials and keeping the old.
A culture of change in many more ways than one,
Like a building from ground up, its not done till its done.

So final good wishes to all who may read,
A good year when it comes bringing things that we need.
Health and best practice, diversity, inclusion and fair pay too,
