Biodiversity in new housing developments: creating wildlife-friendly communities, published by the NHBC Foundation in April 2021 defines structural planting as: ‘A term referring to landscape forming the soft interface to the edge of a development and its open spaces or that buffers retained natural corridors through a development.’
