Singularity
In June 2021, BSRIA published the white paper, 'Artificial Intelligence in Buildings (WP 14/2021)' written by Henry Lawson. It states: ‘In the context of AI, the singularity refers to a scenario in which the intelligence of machines, whether individual or collective, has moved beyond human intelligence to the point where their processes and decisions can no longer be fully controlled or understood by humans. The world would then, potentially, have moved beyond human control.’
