[edit] The future of Grenfell Tower
The Deputy Prime Minister is responsible for decisions on the future of Grenfell Tower. No decision has yet been made. She recognises the importance of working sensitively with the Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission and the community on this issue and supports progress towards a fitting and lasting memorial.
[edit] Site maintenance
Tower site contractor, DUK, carries out regular maintenance and checks of the props (the metal supports installed in the tower), the hoardings around the site, and the lighting, security systems and scaffolding.
[edit] Local opportunities
Local opportunities including employment, training and practical support, are available from DUK.
Some of these include:
- DUK North Kensington £45,000 premises and equipment fund
- Funding adult education English classes
- Electric van for local charities’ use
- Donations to local food banks

Construction of a renewable heat network at Camborne Mews began in late September 2024. Work is expected to take about six weeks. RBKC has written to the residents of Camborne Mews to explain more about this work.

The local NHS service offers physical and mental health support to members of the community affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy, including children and young people. Visit the NHS Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service at grenfellwellbeing.com for information.
