Geography markup language
The Geospatial Glossary, published by the Geospatial Commission, and accessed on 17 September 2022, defines the Geography Markup Language (GML) as: ‘…an XML grammar for expressing geographical features. GML serves as a modeling language for geographic systems as well as an open interchange format for geographic transactions on the Internet.’
