Digital input
Guide to Controls (BG 83/2023) written by John Marrow and published by BSRIA in June 2023, defines a digital input (DI) as: ‘An input to a controller which provides an on/off or binary 0/1 signal, for example from a flow switch.’
It defines a digital output (DO) as: ‘An output from a controller which provides a switched on/off signal, for example to switch lights on or off.’
