Approved building energy calculation software
The Home Quality Mark One, Technical Manual SD239, England, Scotland & Wales, published by BRE in 2018, includes a list of software approved for demonstrating compliance with the energy efficiency and carbon emission requirements of the Building Regulations.
For England, Scotland and Wales:
- For domestic buildings, this refers to approved Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) software, a list of which can be found at: www.bre.co.uk/sap2012.
For England and Wales:
- For non-domestic buildings, this refers to approved Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) software (and its interface iSBEM, as well as third party software approved by the relevant Government department), a list of which can be found at: www.ncm.bre.co.uk.
For Scotland:
- For non-domestic buildings, this refers to approved SBEM software (and its interface iSBEM, as well as third party software approved by the relevant Government department), a list of which can be found at: www.scotland.gov.uk.
