Arboriculturist
Trees in Hard Landscapes, A Guide for Delivery, published by the Trees and Design Action Group in September 2014, defines an arboriculturist as someone that : ‘…cultivates and manages trees, hedgerows including felling, preserving, planting and protecting trees and providing information and advice on specific tree-related issues.’
This is as opposed to an arborist, who: ‘…works at a practical level doing hands-on tree and shrub maintenance.’
