3D v 2D
BS ISO 6707-2, 2017: Buildings and civil engineering works – vocabulary. Part 2: Contract and communication terms, published by the British Standards Institution, defines the term ‘three-dimensional' (3D) as: ‘Having or seeming to have length, width and depth.’
It defines two-dimensional (2D) as: ‘Having or seeming to have two dimensions, such as width and height but no depth.’
