About Smartlouvre
Micro louvred solar screens. For architects, environmental consultants, & building service engineers.
Supplier[edit] The world's thinnest and lightest louvre system
Woven in the UK, MicroLouvre® is the world’s thinnest and lightest louvre system, with up to 700 paper thin, bronze micro louvres woven into every metre of the metal fabric - optimal for solar shading. MicroLouvre® metal fabric is only 1.55mm thick overall (no thicker than a grain of rice) and each louvre measures only 1.25mm x 0.30mm. The fabric has an open area of 80% and weighs just over a kilo per square metre.
This makes MicroLouvre®, although a simple concept, the most technically advanced, versatile and comprehensive all-in-one solution for a variety of application such as solar shading, light and glare control and fire protection with a 60 year proven lifespan. Outperforming competitors in these fields, the MicroLouvre® technical performance criteria even exceed international methods of testing, as proved by Fraunhofer and SimScale.
