Ref APP/L3245/W/23/3316832 The Mill, Craven Arms, SY7 9DT (dismissed)

This appeal relates to the restoration, conversion and extension of a listed rural corn mill building. The inspector concluded that there would be a loss of significance by undermining the architectural and historic interest of the vernacular building due to the demolitions and the increase in footprint. Although the building was in a poor condition and the inspector understood the public benefits of its repair and reuse, the alterations would harm the conservation area and the social and historic context of the village.
