Scenic quality
Assessing landscape value outside national designations, Technical Guidance Note 02/21, published by the Landscape Institute in 2021, defines scenic quality as: ‘The extent to which the landscape appeals to the senses (primarily, but not only, the visual senses).’ (Ref Landscape Character Assessment Guidance 2002).
