Safe Useful Life Expectancy
Trees in Hard Landscapes, A Guide for Delivery, published by the Trees and Design Action Group in September 2014, defines Safe Useful Life Expectancy (SULE) as a: ‘…method of assessing the relative importance of individual trees, categorized as ‘good’, ‘medium’ or ‘bad’ within an identified group or area (usually a development site). Subjective and so cannot be absolute judgement.’
