Habitat quality
North Ayrshire Local Biodiversity Action Plan, 2019-2031, published by North Ayrshire Council, defines habitat quality as: ‘A measure of the influence of a given area of habitat on a species, in terms of factors such as survival, reproductive success or behaviour in a population. The influences can be related to factors such as changes in food availability, cover or climate.’
