Total dissolved solids
Water Treatment for Closed Heating and Cooling Systems (BG 50/2021), second edition, by Dr Pamela Simpson, published by BSRIA in 2021, defines total dissolved solids (TDS) as: ‘…solids that are dissolved in the water but can be measured by weighing the residue remaining after the water is evaporated.’
