Regulated Professions Register
The Regulated Professions Register (RPR) provides information on the some 200 professions in the UK that are regulated. Some being regulated by law to carry out certain professional activities such as Doctors, or use professional titles such as, Architect and some that are covered by accreditation schemes overseen by organisations with a royal charter such as Engineers or regulated through chartered professional bodies..
The Regulated Professions Register (RPR) follows on from the Professional Qualifications Act 2022 (PQ Act) which received Royal Assent in April 2022, and placed a duty on UK regulators to publish information on the requirements they place on individuals, when both entering and remaining in their professions, by the end of October 2022.
The RPR can be used to search for an individual regulated profession and find out what qualifications or experience you may need to work in them or it can be used to find contact details for the regulators of regulated professions in the UK.
