Acceptance factor
Pressurisation of Closed Heating and Cooling Systems (BG82 2022), by Rob Clemson, published by BSRIA in October 2022, defines acceptance factor as: ‘The usable percentage of an expansion vessel. This term is used in BS 7074. The equivalent term in BS EN 12828[8] is utilisation efficiency, which is the inverse of the acceptance factor.’
It defines utilisation efficiency as: 'The usable proportion of an expansion vessel. This term is used in BS EN 12828[8].
The equivalent term in BS 7074 is acceptance factor, which is the inverse of utilisation efficiency.'
